My name is Matt Collins. I work in insurance, but I have training and experience as an educator as well, and I truly enjoy helping people succeed in whatever they are striving to do. I started this blog to share some things I’ve learned along the way about achieving goals. Many of these lessons I learned by reading and talking to others. Many of these lessons, I learned the hard way, by trying and falling short.
I will have some specific things to say on topics such as academics, career goals, and self-care, but a lot of what is here is universal. The blog is so named because I think getting the easy ones right is a tremendously important concept. So often we get so focused on the sacrifices and the deprivation that we will have to endure to reach our goal, we never even start. Or we give up way too soon. Pursuing a goal can be very difficult, but certain activities along the way are actually very easy. Or something that seems like such a burden at first becomes so automatic that you stop thinking about it at all. The discomfort disappears entirely.
I appreciate you visiting my blog and hope you come back soon.
